About Jane

Observation.
Intuition.
Possibility.

Jane Haycock is a British-Australian artist and maker.

Jane Haycock is a visual artist whose practice is rooted in the direct observation of nature. Her work explores the relationship between place, memory and emotional response through organic forms, gestural mark-making and an openness to intuition and chance. Working across oil, acrylic, watercolour and drawing mediums, Jane creates work that invites a conversation around identity, transformation and the ways our experiences become layered over time.

Following a career in international development and diplomacy, Jane is currently studying at the Australian National University for a Bachelor of Visual Arts. She completed a Foundation year at the Ottawa School of Art in 2021.
